AUFC Thorns 2021 Graduates and future Lobos, Taryn Robles & Zaria Katesigwa share their excitement to be part of the UNM Women’s Soccer team next fall. UNM recently earned the Mountain West Conference Title and will advance to the NCAA Tournament. Their first game is against Navy on April 27th in North Carolina.

“What excites me most about playing soccer at UNM is being able to play at the D1 collegiate level, getting the support/feedback I know the coach and players will give me, to be the best student athlete I can be, and mainly being able to meet all the lovely girls and making life long friends. ”

“AUFC supported me by guiding us to speak with current college players (D1-D3 & NAIA) to gain information about college soccer, to further our love for the game and potentially play college soccer in the near future. That encouraged me in my soccer journey by seeing current players be successful in college academics as well as sports, and to know that when they reached college they never lost their love for the game. ” – Zaria Katesigwa

“I am most excited to be apart of such a great community of girls and coaches as well as getting to play for my home town.”

“Through out my soccer career AUFC has shaped me into the player I have become and guided me through the college recruiting process. They helped find the best fit for me academically and athletically. I had a great experience and am truly honored that I was apart of AUFC.” – Taryn Robles
