Learning by playing soccer!

With the transition from basic to the intermediate phase is a methodology change from play to learning. Further competitions and games still belong in each training session, but will be supplemented by specific exercises. The main focus is on perfecting the individual’s ball skills. In addition, individual tactical behavior in 1 vs. 1 exercises as well as coordination and personal components such as courage, speed, agility, and overall skills are part of the focus.

Coaching becomes more important in this phase. The coach demonstrates technical sequences, corrects errors and praises success. Also, they adjust the level of difficulty based on the players’ ability and then increase the demands step-by-step. Various exercises and games are ensuring continuous stimulation. Using a variety of training equipment arouses curiosity and enthusiasm of the players. It’s understood, that the ball is always the main focus
